Final Pieces
Here’s my last update for year 2025 and I’m finishing it off with images of my final pieces from my first three months at University.
I’ve learnt so much in a short space of time, and even though I know I have a long way to go, I’m relatively happy with these pieces. Prior to starting my ceramics course, I pretty much had no real experience using clay. Therefore, seeing my wonky mugs, cracked plates and ‘unique’ glaze choices marks the start of greater things to come!

The stands to support my tree platter- You can see how they’ve been contaminated by another glaze somehow- perhaps my moss pots are to blame
The inside of my moss pots- Cobalt Carb washed back then in a white glaze- almost what I expected, but was hoping more greens to pop through!
My Copper Oxide marks with a white glaze (Hoping it was going to bleed together but didn’t)
The only two that survived from using this glaze- I applied it too thick and it dripped onto the kiln shelf. The bases of these are broken unfortunately.
You can see how the glaze has pooled into the bowl due to how thick I applied it
The collection of mugs I made- I loved this glaze! However, the mugs were on the small side
