Glaze Recipe Book’s
The three main glaze recipe book’s I’ve used in the April-August 2026 semester to try and establish my own ‘palette’ and go-to recipes.
Great for one off recipes for trying to establish colour in my work.
Check out my glaze test tile spreadsheet under the Technical tab to see the results I got from these books!
Instead of pulling recipes from online, I found using a physical book, with descriptions and guidance way more useful. It meant I could also easily re-visit recipes to see where I went wrong or to try it again.
Used to try and establish some reduction glazes, that don’t just go brown!
Used for creating base glazes and then mixing in additions such as oxides, rutile, vanadium and titanium.
